Hon. Adedeji Adebowale, the Leader of the House of the Ido Local Government Legislative arm, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful in Ido, Oyo State, and across Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Eid al-Kabir celebration.
In a goodwill message released on Wednesday morning, to commemorate the Islamic festival, Hon. Adedeji described Eid al-Kabir as a sacred period that reminds humanity of the virtues of obedience to Allah, sacrifice, devotion, and compassion for one another.
He noted that the annual festival, which symbolizes Prophet Ibrahim’s unwavering faith and submission to Allah’s will, offers important lessons for individuals, leaders, and society at large.

According to him, “Eid-al-Kabir is not only a season of celebration but also a solemn reminder of the values of sacrifice, love, humility, and total submission to God. It teaches us the importance of selflessness and the need to work together for peace, unity, and progress in our communities.

Ido leaders further urged Muslim faithful to use the period to pray fervently for peace, security, and economic stability in Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole, stressing that the country needs divine intervention and collective commitment to overcome its current socio-economic and security challenges.

Adedeji also encouraged residents of the Ido council area to embrace the spirit of tolerance, peaceful coexistence, and communal support during and after the festivities, emphasizing that sustainable development can only thrive in an atmosphere of unity and mutual understanding.
He reaffirmed his commitment to people-centered leadership, integrity, accountability, and developmental governance, assuring constituents that the local legislative arms remain focused on improving the welfare of the people and advancing the socio-economic fortunes of Iwajowa.
While wishing Muslims a joyous and peaceful Eid celebration, Hon. Adedeji prayed that the blessings of the season would bring renewed hope, prosperity, and happiness to families across the state.
He said, “May this blessed season bring abundant peace, joy, and divine blessings to every home. May the spirit of sacrifice and devotion strengthen our faith and inspire us to build a better society for all.”
He concluded by calling on citizens to remain hopeful, law-abiding, and committed to the shared vision of a more prosperous Oyo State and Nigeria.
