The Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, Adebowale Adebayo Falana, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful and youths across Oyo State on the occasion of this year’s Eid al-Kabir celebration, urging them to embrace the virtues of sacrifice, unity, peace and love which the festival symbolizes.
Falana, in a goodwill message released to newsmen on Wednesday, through the Head of the Media Unit to the Chairman, Opeyemi Rasheed Socrates, Falana described Eid al-Kabir as a sacred season that calls for renewed commitment to selflessness, tolerance, compassion and communal harmony among Nigerians irrespective of religious or ethnic differences.
He charged youths across the state to remain steadfast, productive and hopeful, while continuing to contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of society through positive engagement and responsible conduct.

The youth development advocate also commended the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, for creating an enabling environment that has continued to inspire and empower young people across the state.

According to him, the Makinde-led administration has consistently demonstrated commitment to youth inclusiveness through several empowerment initiatives, vocational training programmes, digital skills development and opportunities designed to help youths discover and showcase their talents.

Falana noted that the administration’s investment in youth development has not only boosted creativity and entrepreneurship among young people, but has also positioned Oyo State as a model for sustainable youth empowerment in Nigeria.
He further urged Muslim faithful to use the festive period to pray for the peace, progress and continued prosperity of Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
“Eid al-Kabir remains a reminder of the rewards of obedience, sacrifice and humanity. As we celebrate, let us continue to uphold the values of unity, peaceful coexistence and support for one another,” he stated.
