PHOTOS: Oyo Fire Service Rescues 45-Year-Old Man from Deep Well in Iseyin

The Oyo State Fire Service Agency, Iseyin zonal command has recovered a 45-year-old man who fell into a deep well at Odo-Ogbo, Oja Agbe, Iseyin axis of Oyo State.

Heritage Echo gathered that the man fell into the well on Wednesday, but was recovered from the well on Thursday.

Our correspondence learnt that he has been handed over to the team of policemen from Okutapemo Divisional Headquarters, Iseyin axis of Oyo State.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Fire Service Reform and Agency Chairman, Hon. Moroof Adebayo Akinwande confirmed the incident.

According to him, “the emergency was reported at exactly 09:04hrs on Thursday, 6th November, 2025.

He added that men of the agency were immediately mobilised to the scene when they were contacted.

“On getting there, it was a man of about Forty-Five (45) years of age who fell into a deep well on Wednesday night.

“Our officers quickly swung into action by applying all necessary rescue equipment, and the man was recovered from the well and handed to the team of policemen from Okutapemo Divisional Headquarters, Iseyin.

Residents applauded the State government under the leadership of His Excellency Engr ‘Seyi Makinde for providing state-of-the-art equipment to the State fire service in responding to emergencies as needed.

Akinwande however, urged the public to be very careful in all their activities to avoid being trapped in a place where they could not rescue themselves and emphasized the importance of avoiding isolation.
