In a renewed demonstration of his unwavering commitment to grassroots development and humanitarian service, the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) candidate for the Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, Hon. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji, popularly known as KSA, has unveiled a comprehensive community empowerment programme aimed at improving the lives of widows, the elderly, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable members of society across Ido and Ibarapa East Local Government Areas.

The multi-faceted initiative, scheduled to hold in Ido Local Government on Thursday* and Ibarapa East Local Government on Saturday, will feature a free medical outreach, food bank programme, empowerment of persons with disabilities, the commissioning of a solar-powered borehole, and the grand finale of the KSA Football Competition.
The programmes, according to the organisers, are part of KSA’s continued efforts to provide practical and sustainable interventions that directly address the needs of the people while promoting inclusive community development.

Activities will commence on Thursday at the APM Secretariat in Ido Local Government, where hundreds of beneficiaries are expected to participate in a free medical outreach designed specifically for widows and elderly residents.

Medical professionals will provide health consultations, basic medical examinations, and essential healthcare services aimed at improving the well-being of vulnerable members of the community.

Following the medical outreach, widows and elderly residents will benefit from a Food Bank Programme, during which food items will be distributed to help cushion the effects of prevailing economic challenges.
The day’s activities will also include the empowerment of persons with disabilities through the distribution of essential assistive devices to enhance their mobility, independence, and quality of life.
Items scheduled for distribution include:
- Wheelchairs
- Crutches
- Walking sticks
- White canes for the visually impaired
- Hearing aids
The organisers disclosed that each local government will benefit from the distribution of two wheelchairs, four pairs of crutches, three walking sticks, three white canes, and four hearing aids, with additional wheelchairs provided where necessary to ensure wider impact.
The outreach will continue on Saturday in Ibarapa East Local Government, where residents will equally benefit from the free medical programme, food distribution, and disability empowerment initiative.
Adding further significance to Saturday’s activities, Hon. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji will officially commission a newly completed solar-powered borehole at Suzuki Area, Sango, Eruwa.
The borehole, personally facilitated and funded by KSA, was drilled to provide residents of the community with reliable access to clean and safe drinking water, addressing a long-standing need within the area.
Community stakeholders have described the project as a life-changing intervention that will improve public health, ease the burden of sourcing potable water, and contribute significantly to the socio-economic well-being of residents.
The commissioning of the borehole further reflects KSA’s belief that quality representation extends beyond political promises to delivering tangible projects capable of transforming lives and communities.
Saturday’s activities will also climax with the grand finale of the KSA Football Competition, a grassroots sporting initiative established to identify and nurture young football talents while promoting unity, discipline, and healthy competition among youths across Ido and Ibarapa East Local Government Areas.
The football tournament has attracted enthusiastic participation from teams across both local governments and is expected to conclude with an exciting final witnessed by community leaders, sports enthusiasts, youths, and supporters from across the federal constituency.
Speaking on the forthcoming programmes, supporters of Hon. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji described the initiative as another clear demonstration of his compassion, generosity, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people.
They noted that KSA has consistently invested his personal resources in community development, humanitarian interventions, youth empowerment, and infrastructural projects, long before seeking elective office.
According to them, the combination of healthcare services, food support, disability empowerment, potable water provision, and youth development through sports reflects a holistic approach to leadership that prioritises people over politics.
The programmes are expected to attract traditional rulers, religious leaders, community associations, women groups, youth organisations, persons with disabilities, political stakeholders, and residents from across Ido and Ibarapa East Local Government Areas.
For many residents, the forthcoming interventions represent more than an empowerment programme, they are practical expressions of compassionate leadership and a sincere commitment to improving the living conditions of ordinary people.

Kolawole Sheu Adedeji continues to reinforce his vision of building healthier communities, empowering vulnerable groups, investing in young people, and delivering sustainable grassroots development across the Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency.
