A chieftain of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Lagelu Local Government Area of Oyo State,and the founder of OBF Chief Benedict Akika, has reportedly rejected an offer to serve as Chairman of the Security Committee of the party’s campaign council in the local government.
Akika, who is regarded as a prominent figure within the party in Lagelu, was said to have declined the position on the grounds that his political pedigree, experience and contributions to party politics over the years should not be limited to a security-related role.
