The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has sentenced three persons convicted for the abduction of students and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State to life imprisonment.
The convicts were found guilty of their roles in the kidnapping incident, which threw residents of the affected community into panic and attracted widespread condemnation across the country. Delivering judgment, the court held that the prosecution had proved its case beyond reasonable doubt, leading to the imposition of life sentences on the three defendants.
