The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has expressed profound admiration for persons with disabilities, describing them as a source of courage, inspiration, and unity within the community.

In a statement issued through his head of media, Aderibigbe Yisahu, Olufade highlighted the strength and positivity that persons with disabilities bring to families and society, reaffirming his commitment to continually celebrating and supporting them.

He said their resilience and contributions remain essential to the fabric of Ibadan North and Oyo State.

“I honor them for their unwavering strength, the hope they inspire, and the positive impact they bring to our society,” he stated.

“Their presence enriches our community. They deserve every form of love, dignity, and support, and I remain committed to standing with them—not just today, but always.”

Olufade emphasized that inclusivity is a core value of his administration, noting that his leadership will continue prioritizing programs and policies that uplift persons with disabilities.

The chairman also applauded the efforts of Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, whom he described as a champion of inclusive governance. According to him, the governor has consistently ensured that persons with disabilities are actively represented in decision-making processes.

“Governor Makinde continues to demonstrate what true inclusiveness looks like,” Olufade said.

“Through his fair policies, accessible programs, and deliberate engagement with persons with disabilities, he reminds us that a government is strongest when no one is left behind.”

He called on residents of Ibadan North and the broader Oyo State to emulate Makinde’s example by showing continuous love, respect, and support to persons with disabilities.

Olufade stressed that societies thrive when they uplift and protect their most vulnerable members, urging collective responsibility in creating an environment where everyone can flourish.

The chairman concluded by reiterating his administration’s dedication to building a local government where every individual regardless of physical ability—has equal opportunities to succeed.
