The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ocean Track Holdings Limited and Founder of Sub-Sahara Shelter Limited, Prince Kolade Afeez Oladigbolu, has reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to the Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade I, declaring that he will firmly oppose any act capable of undermining the dignity, authority and sanctity of the revered Alaafin stool.

Prince Oladigbolu made the declaration while congratulating the monarch on the occasion of his 51st birthday and wedding anniversary, describing the double celebration as a moment of gratitude to God for a king whose reign continues to inspire hope, unity and progress across Oyo Kingdom and the Yoruba race.

According to him, although he was once an aspirant to the prestigious Alaafin throne before the emergence of Oba Owoade as the chosen monarch, he wholeheartedly accepted the outcome and has since pledged his total support to the Alaafin in the interest of the Oyo Kingdom.

He described Oba Owoade as a humble, compassionate and exceptionally humane monarch whose listening ear, wisdom, accessibility and developmental vision have continued to endear him to the people.

Prince Oladigbolu said the Alaafin has demonstrated remarkable leadership by embracing every segment of society without discrimination, earning the respect of both young and old through his fatherly disposition and commitment to peace, unity and inclusive development.

He further described the Alaafin as a worthy custodian of Yoruba culture and traditions whose reign is restoring the prestige of the ancient Oyo Empire while projecting the values, history and heritage of the Yoruba people to the global stage.

“I remain committed to defending the integrity and dignity of the Alaafin stool. Anyone who seeks to tarnish the image of His Imperial Majesty or bring unnecessary division to Oyo Kingdom should know that many of us who genuinely love Oyo will continue to resist such actions through lawful, peaceful and constructive means,” Prince Oladigbolu stated.

He added that the Alaafin deserves the support, prayers and cooperation of all sons and daughters of Oyo, stressing that the progress and unity currently being witnessed under Oba Owoade’s leadership should be encouraged rather than undermined.

Congratulating the monarch on his 51st birthday and wedding anniversary, Prince Oladigbolu prayed that Almighty God would continue to grant the Alaafin sound health, divine wisdom, long life and greater strength to lead Oyo Kingdom to even greater heights.

“As Kabiyesi celebrates another year of life and a joyous wedding anniversary, I join the people of Oyo Kingdom and the Yoruba race in celebrating a monarch whose reign is defined by humility, vision, courage and an unwavering commitment to the growth of our people. May God continue to preserve and strengthen him for many more years of impactful leadership,” he said.

Prince Oladigbolu reaffirmed his unflinching loyalty to the Alaafin, expressing confidence that the monarch’s reign would continue to usher in peace, prosperity, cultural renaissance and sustainable development for Oyo Kingdom and the Yoruba nation at large.
