Across communities in the Ido/Ibarapa Federal Constituency, conversations about the future of representation are gaining momentum, and at the centre of those discussions is Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji. From community gatherings to grassroots political meetings, many residents are increasingly expressing confidence in his aspiration, describing it as a reflection of their desire for a more purposeful and people-focused representation.

In recent weeks, the reception that has greeted Engr. Adedeji during his consultations across towns and wards has been warm and encouraging. Community leaders, youths, market women, and political stakeholders have openly shared their admiration for what they describe as his humility, accessibility, and genuine interest in the welfare of the people.

For many residents, the growing support around his aspiration is not just about politics; it represents a deeper hope for a new kind of leadership, one that listens to the people, understands their daily realities, and is intentional about bringing development closer to the grassroots.

Across the constituency, many believe the time has come for representation that goes beyond occupying an office. They say what the people truly desire is leadership that is committed to youth empowerment, economic opportunities, improved infrastructure, and policies that can directly impact the wellbeing of the communities.

Within political circles, the ongoing consultations within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have also added another layer to the conversation. This follows the timeframe earlier given by Governor Seyi Makinde for party stakeholders to engage in discussions and work towards consensus candidates in constituencies where multiple aspirants have shown interest.

In the Ido/Ibarapa Federal Constituency, aside from Engr. Adedeji, only one other individual has publicly shown interest in the race. However, many party faithful and residents say that through recent engagements and consultations, the people have begun to clearly see the difference between the aspirants.

Supporters of Engr. Adedeji insist that the enthusiasm surrounding him is not manufactured but naturally driven by the people themselves. According to them, the level of goodwill and acceptance he has continued to enjoy across communities reflects the genuine mood of the constituency.

Political observers also note that the growing conversations around his aspiration mirror a broader demand among constituents for representation that is effective, accountable, and visible in its impact.

As the consultation process within the party continues, many of his supporters say they are hopeful and eagerly awaiting what they believe could be the eventual announcement of Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji as the consensus candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for the Ido/Ibarapa Federal Constituency.

For many residents across the constituency, the message remains simple but powerful: the people are ready for leadership that is intentional, responsive, and fully committed to delivering meaningful change.
