Prince Oluyinka Moses Tella has officially declared his intention to contest for the position of Chairman of Oyo West Local Government on the platform of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM).

The declaration took place on Friday, July 17, during a gathering of party leaders, stakeholders and members, where Tella formally presented his Letter of Intention, signaling the commencement of his bid for the 2026 local government election.

The event attracted party stakeholders and faithfuls from across Oyo West, who warmly embraced his aspiration and expressed confidence in his leadership qualities.

Addressing the gathering, Prince Tella appreciated the leadership of the party at all levels for their support and commitment to strengthening the APM in Oyo State. He specifically acknowledged Governor Seyi Makinde, Hon Dayo Ogungbenro, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, Senator Monsura Sunmonu, Rt. Hon. Atilola and other leaders with members across Oyo West Local Government and Oyo State for creating an atmosphere of unity and inclusiveness.

He pledged to provide purposeful, transparent and people-oriented leadership if elected, promising to prioritize grassroots development, improve service delivery and ensure inclusive governance that reflects the aspirations of the people.

Party leaders who received his letter of intention commended the peaceful manner of the declaration and urged members to remain united as preparations intensify for the forthcoming local government elections.
