The Political Head Administrator of Aare Latosa LCDA. Hon. Akeem Adewale Ayoade has rallied support for His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, FNSE, GSSR on safe rescue of the Oriire pupils and teachers abducted few weeks ago.
Ayoade stated this in his Year 2026 Democracy Day message to all patriotic citizens of Nigeria, Oyo State and residents of the Council area, charging all to make frantic efforts to complement the discreet efforts and activities of Government, Security agencies and other stakeholders aimed at rescuing the abductees in order to reunite them safely, with their families.
He reiterated the State Government’s commitment to bringing them back unhurt cautioning all, especially rumour peddlers, fake bloggers and others not to jeopardize the efforts being put in place through their biased or unverified stories.

According to him, “This is not time to play politics but to be sober, vigilant and more prayerful as security menace keeps increasing without yet any fixed solution adding that Democracy was fought for by some patriotic heroes who sacrificed their lives in order for democracy to thrive

“June 12 signalled the freest and fearest election ever held in this Country won by Bashorun Moshood Abiola, which was annulled by the then Junta, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, which later claimed the life of the winner of the June 12 election, Chief MKO Abiola.

“Democracy ought to be enjoyed but the incessant kidnappings, killings and banditry are biting and failing the democratic process and every common man
“Let us uphold and sustain democracy in our land by co-habiting peacefully in unity and love without engaging in tribalism, nepotism or ethnic crisis in order to improve the socio-economic status of the Country”, he concluded
Ayoade congratulated all residents of the State and the Council area for witnessing the day, urging them not to relent in their cooperation and support for the present administration of Gov. Seyi Makinde, FNSE, GSSR in the last seven years as the Executive Governor of Oyo State, rallying support for his Presidential bid in the next general election.
He therefore prayed for peace, progress, calm, stability and prosperity in the Country and the State, affirming that development can only happen where there are peace, stability and calm
