News reaching Heritage Echo News confirmed fire incidents that occurred on Tuesday in the Ogbomoso axis and Ibadan, respectively.


Our correspondence gathered that the first incident, which involved a truck carrying cattle, occurred at Oja-Gbo beside the palace of Soun of Ogbomoso.
The second incident occurred at a mechanic workshop at Anifalaje area, Akobo in Ibadan.

Also, the third incident occurred at Rom Oil Junction, Alomoja, in Ibadan.



However, the fourth incident was a 4-bedroom flat engulfed by fire at the Abojosu area, Ogbomoso axis of Oyo State.
Special Adviser to the Governor on Fire Service Reform/Agency Chairman, Hon Moroof Adebayo Akinwande confirmed the four incidents.

He said that no life was lost in the incidents.
“Upon arrival, we met the cabin crew and engine compartment of a truck with registration no SMK 846 AZ (LAGOS), carrying cows engulfed with fire,” he said.
Akinwande while confirming the second incident noted that the fire was a result of the burning of refuse unattended.
He added that the fire spread to the workshop and affected some properties.
Also, the third incident, said the agency averted the falling Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) tanker from exploding. A tanker trailer with registration number KNR 76 X loaded with 45,000 litres of Premium Motor Spirit swerved into the ditch.
He added that the operation was carried out successfully and no casualty was recorded while properties worth millions of naira were saved by the Agency.
Equally, the fourth incident occurred at the Abojosu area, Ogbomoso axis of the state as the firefighters attended to a 4-bedroom flat engulfed by fire.
Akinwande said, “Our personnel led by Oluwaleye (PFS) quickly mobilized and responded to the distress call, and upon arrival the team swung into action to extinguish the fire and restricted it from spreading to the whole house.
Residents and the victims applauded the Oyo State Government under the leadership of His Excellency Engr ‘Seyi Makinde for providing state-of-the-art equipment to the State fire service in responding to emergencies.
Also, Hon. Akinwande urged the public to be conscious of fire and lay emphasis on the important id installing a fire extinguisher in the House and in the trucks.
