I am writing to formally acknowledge and commend the decision of Ambassador (Dr.) Opeyemi Ayanrinde, popularly known as MC Swagger, to resign from his position as Special Assistant on Mobilization to the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly and to join the All Progressives Congress (APC). His declaration of full support for our 2027 vision for Oyo State is both encouraging and deeply appreciated.
MC Swagger is not just a media professional; he is a vibrant youth leader, a creative force, and a committed son of Eruwa in Ibarapa. His experience as a broadcaster, actor, media strategist, and political mobilizer has earned him respect across Oyo State and beyond. His decision to realign politically at this moment reflects courage, clarity of purpose, and a strong desire to contribute meaningfully to the future of our dear state.
I recognize the boldness required to step away from an established political role in order to pursue personal development and a broader vision for community growth. His reflections on politics as a learning institution, a space for self-building, and a platform for impactful service are values that align deeply with the philosophy behind our movement.
I acknowledge his political journey—particularly his 2023 contest under the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and his later contributions in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). His gratitude to those he served alongside speaks to his character, humility, and commitment to peaceful politics and progress.
Today, as he joins the APC family, I welcome him wholeheartedly. His strengths, creativity, energy, and leadership capacity will be great assets to our collective mission. I believe in the talent of young people, and I am committed to building a political environment where everyone—regardless of background—can contribute, grow, and thrive.
MC Swagger has chosen to stand with us because he believes in the vision we hold for Oyo State—a vision rooted in development, fairness, opportunity, and the empowerment of our people. I assure him, and all who are joining us, that this is a movement built on integrity, service, and genuine commitment to the progress of Oyo State.
