The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo, joined children, parents, guardians, and families in marking this year’s Children’s Day celebration with a call for collective responsibility in safeguarding the future of the nation’s younger generation.

In a message to commemorate the occasion, Hon. Adeojo extended his warm felicitations to the children of Ido Local Government and beyond, describing them as the true hope and leaders of tomorrow. He also acknowledged the vital roles parents, guardians, and educators play in shaping the lives of children.

The chairman reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to ensuring a safe and enabling environment for children within the local government area. He emphasized that the welfare, security, and educational development of children remain a top priority of his administration.

“Our administration is fully committed to policies that promote the safety, well-being, and sound education of our children. We believe that investing in the development of the younger generation is key to building a stronger and more prosperous society,” Hon. Adeojo stated.

He further disclosed that ongoing education-focused initiatives, including infrastructure upgrades and teacher support programs, are aimed at raising the standard of learning across schools in Ido Local Government.

The chairman urged stakeholders at all levels to join hands in nurturing the dreams and potentials of Nigerian children, stressing that the collective future of the country rests in their hands.

Hon. Adeojo also lauded the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his administration’s steadfast commitment to improving security and education across the state. He noted that Governor Makinde’s leadership has created a more enabling environment for children to grow, learn, and thrive.

Children’s Day, celebrated annually on May 27th, is dedicated to honoring and advocating for the rights, protection, and development of children across Nigeria.
