The Executive Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, has expressed deep grief over the passing of Chief Yekeen Adeojo, a revered chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and a towering figure in Oyo State politics.

Chief Adeojo, a former Deputy National Chairman (South) of the PDP, passed away on Friday, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, leadership, and service to his community and the nation.

In a heartfelt statement, the Lagelu council chairman, Kamorudeen described the late PDP stalwart as a beacon of hope and a unifying force whose contributions to the political development of Oyo State and Nigeria will not be forgotten. “Chief Yekeen Adeojo was a father to all, a mentor, and a statesman whose contributions to political development were unwavering. His demise is a great loss not only to his family and the PDP but to every one of us who values integrity and selfless service,” the Chairman said.

Hon. Kamorudeen highlighted Chief Adeojo’s instrumental role as one of the founding members of the PDP in Oyo State, noting his tireless efforts in fostering unity and progress within the party and the state at large. He extended his condolences to the Adeojo family, the PDP community, and all those touched by Chief Adeojo’s remarkable life. “We stand in solidarity with his loved ones during this difficult time— with the absolute assurance that his legacy will continue to inspire us all as we work together to build a better future for our people,” he added.
