A Member of House of Representatives, representing Ibadan North East/South East Federal constituency, Rep. Abass Adigun, popularly known as Agboworin, has commiserated with his colleague, Rep Dhikirulahi Adedeji Stanley Olajide MHR (a.k.a. Odidiomo), who represents Ibadan North West/South West, over the demise of his father.

Odidiomo’s father, Alhaji Abdullateef Akin-Tokunbo Olajide, had passed on in the early hours of Friday.

Agboworin, who is also the Chairman, House Committee on Narcotic Drugs, in a condolence message signed by his Media Group and made available to journalists in Ibadan, described the death as painful, expressing that the demise will create a void in his immediate family.

The lawmaker encouraged Odidiomo to take solace in the fact that his father lived a fulfilled life, having served Allah till he passed on.

Agboworin, while beseeching God to grant his soul Aljanna Fridaus, prayed that Allah would give divine comfort to those he left behind.

The statement read, “My dear Egbon and colleague, I am devastated by the shocking news of your father’s death in the early hours of today.

“Please, I want you and other family members to accept my condolences as well as other relations left behind by Alhaji Olajide.

“Yes, I know that the passing of your father can be painful. Even though he was old, we never wanted him to leave. So, I know how hurtful it is.

“I am aware of how close you were to him and the remarkable influence he had on you. He was an excellent human being, a deeply religious man, who provided exemplary leadership in his domain.

“So, his passing is no doubt a huge loss to the family of Olajide and I pray for the repose of his soul. May God also grant you and other members of the family the fortitude to bear the loss.”
