We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Farm Manager to oversee all aspects of our farming operations.
Job Description:The Farm Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the farm, ensuring efficient farm operations, and maintaining the highest standards of agricultural practices.
This role requires a combination of practical farming experience and business management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
•Oversee and manage all farming activities, including planting, irrigation, harvesting, beekeeping, and security (edging and fire tracing).
•Develop and implement farm operation plans and strategies to maximize productivity and profitability.
•Manage farm staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling work.
•Ensure compliance with the organic status, and all relevant regulations and standards, including safety and environmental guidelines.
•Monitor and manage farm budgets and expenditures.
•Maintain accurate records of farm activities and financial transactions.
•Coordinate with suppliers and buyers for the purchase of supplies and the sale of farm products.
•Implement innovative agricultural practices and technologies to improve efficiency and sustainability.
•Regularly inspect and maintain farm equipment and infrastructure.
•Liaise with external stakeholders, including agricultural advisors, government agencies, and community groups.
Qualifications:
•A degree in agriculture, farm management, or a related field is preferred.
•Proven experience in farm management or a similar role.
•Strong knowledge of modern agricultural techniques and farm equipment.
•Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and various weather conditions.
•Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
•Good communication and interpersonal skills.
•Proficiency in record-keeping and budget management.
•A valid driver’s license. (Optional)
