Makinde equally commended Mrs Olubunmi Oni’s cordial rapport with the immediate past Head of Service, Alhaja Amidat Agboola, as well as her smooth relationship with other workers, stressing that she was renowned for her probity, work ethic and extensive experience in the civil service, all of which made her to be appointed as Head of Service of Oyo state.

Represented by his Deputy, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, the Governor commended Oni for deeming it fit to appreciate the Almighty God over her career, adding that the Thanksgiving event is more than deserving.

“Now that you are the Head of Service, you must ensure the mutual respect and cooperation between the service and the government. And I believe you will discharge that duty extremely well.

“While thanking all of you, it’s my duty as deputy governor and government to occasionally draw your attention to what I perceive is right or wrong moving on with this administration.

“So, on behalf of His Excellency, I congratulate you most profoundly and I say without equivocation that government rely on your advice as you’ve gathered a lot of experience while as a young administrative officer, Director and PS cabinet and I hope the workers would have good stories to tell about you.

“I thank you all for coming particularly my friends who graced the occasion and I wish the celebrant a successful tenure”, he said.
