The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has donated a brand-new power generating set to the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) office located within The Polytechnic, Ibadan, as part of efforts to enhance the commission’s operational efficiency and improve service delivery to residents.

The generator was presented on behalf of the Chairman by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Hamdy Mustapha, during a brief presentation attended by officials of the local government and the management of the commission.

Speaking at the presentation, Hon. Mustapha commended the management and staff of the National Identity Management Commission for the tremendous work they have continued to do in providing identity registration and related services to Nigerians.

He particularly applauded the commission’s responsiveness to the growing needs of the people within the Polytechnic axis, noting that the location serves not only thousands of students but also a large population of residents who rely on the centre for National Identification Number (NIN) registration and other identity management services.

According to him, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade deemed it necessary to donate the generator in order to support the commission’s operations by ensuring a more stable power supply, thereby enabling officials to discharge their responsibilities more effectively and efficiently.

“The Executive Chairman, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, recognizes the strategic importance of the services rendered by NIMC to our people.
This donation is aimed at complementing your efforts and ensuring that interruptions caused by power challenges are minimized.
The Chairman remains committed to supporting institutions that provide essential services to the people of Ibadan North whenever the need arises,” he said.
Hon. Mustapha further urged the officials of the commission not to relent in their commitment to quality service delivery but to continue improving on the excellent work they have been doing in attending to members of the public.
Responding on behalf of the management, officials of the National Identity Management Commission expressed profound appreciation to the Executive Chairman for the thoughtful gesture.
They described Hon. Olufade as a patriotic leader who genuinely desires the progress and development of Nigeria through practical support for critical government institutions.
The management lauded the Chairman for setting an example worthy of emulation by other public office holders, noting that the donation would significantly improve the commission’s operations and the quality of services rendered to the public.
They also offered prayers for the continued success and smooth running of the Olufade administration and assured the Chairman that the generator would be put to effective and judicious use for the benefit of the people.
Those present at the presentation included the Director of Works, Ibadan North Local Government, Engr. Aremu; the Supervisory Councillor for Special Duties, Hon. Adewumi Adeagbo; Hon. Adepoju Oluseye and officials of the National Identity Management Commission.
