The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Borno and Yobe State Command, has successfully recovered funds from thirty eight abandoned constituency projects, those poorly executed or fail to meet contractual standards. The Borno State Deputy Director of the Commission, Linus Madashi, stated this during a media parley in Maiduguri as part of activities marking the 2025 African Anti-Corruption Day. According to Madashi, the recovery exercise targeted funds misappropriated, diverted or underutilized by contractors and public officials responsible for the implementation of constituency projects in both Borno and Yobe States.
