In a statement signed by his Media Group on Friday and made available to journalists in Ibadan, Agboworin equally congratulated the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), the Olubadan-in-Council, the High Chiefs, Senior Chiefs, Mogajis and Baales as well as the people of the historic city, on witnessing this new dawn.

The lawmaker, who is also the Chairman Committee on Narcotic Drugs, equally hailed the Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, ‘Seyi Makinde, for practically upholding the tradition and culture of Ibadanland by ensuring a smooth transition and coronation process.

He described Oba Olakulehin as a worthy successor and a respected leader who would take Ibadanland to greater heights.

Agboworin also commended the people of Ibadan for their peaceful conduct during the coronation ceremony, saying it showed the unity and harmony that existed in the city.

He urged Oba Olakulehin to use his wisdom and experience to promote peace, progress, and development in Ibadanland.

“Oba Olakulehin is a respected leader who has the interest of Ibadanland at heart. I have no doubt that he will lead the city to greatness,” Agboworin said.

He, however, prayed to God to grant the new Olubadan more years and good health to continue to steer the ship of Ibadanland peacefully, and make his reign filled with tremendous developments and progress for the city.
