The Vice Chairman of Ibadan North local government who doubles as the Political Head of Aare Latosa Local Council Development area, Hon. Ayoade Akeem Adewale, declared his support for Oyo State Governor, Engr. ‘Seyi Makinde, describing him as a leader with the capacity to deliver result-oriented governance at the national level.
Akeem made this known while addressing party faithful, supporters, and stakeholders in Ibadan, where he stressed the need for Nigeria to embrace leadership that prioritises development, accountability, and the welfare of citizens.
According to him, the country is in dire need of a leader who possesses the vision, competence, and courage to tackle pressing national challenges, including insecurity, economic hardship, and infrastructural deficits.
He noted that Governor Makinde’s leadership style in Oyo State has demonstrated prudence, inclusiveness, and commitment to sustainable development, adding that such qualities are needed to reposition Nigeria for growth and stability.
“Nigeria needs result-oriented leadership at this critical time in our history. We need leaders who will focus on delivering tangible outcomes for the people, and Governor Seyi Makinde has shown through his performance in Oyo State that he understands what governance truly means,” Akeem said.
The political leader further urged Nigerians to look beyond sentiments and support leaders with proven track records of service delivery and commitment to national progress.
He expressed confidence that Makinde possesses the experience and leadership capacity required to move the country forward if allowed to serve at the highest level.
Akeem’s endorsement adds to the growing calls from political stakeholders and supporters urging Governor Makinde to consider a presidential bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.
