Hon. Busari Olakunle Moruf, popularly known as “Goodugoodu,” has officially submitted his governorship nomination form under the platform of the Accord Party ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Oyo State, reaffirming his commitment to delivering purposeful leadership and good governance to the people of the state if elected.
The governorship hopeful submitted his nomination form at the party’s secretariat amid supporters and party loyalists who gathered to witness what many described as a significant step in his political journey toward leading the pacesetter state.
Speaking shortly after the submission, Busari expressed appreciation to members of the party for their confidence in his leadership capacity, assuring residents of Oyo State that his administration would prioritize transparency, accountability, infrastructural development, youth empowerment, quality education, improved healthcare delivery, and economic growth.
According to him, the state deserves a government that is people-oriented and committed to addressing the pressing needs of citizens across all sectors.
He noted that his aspiration is driven by a desire to reposition Oyo State for sustainable development and ensure that governance delivers tangible benefits to the grassroots.
“We are prepared to offer responsible leadership that will improve the welfare of our people and create opportunities for all. Our administration, by the grace of God and the support of the people, will focus on inclusive governance and developmental policies that will move Oyo State forward,” he said.
Busari also called on party members and supporters to remain united and committed as preparations intensify ahead of the 2027 elections, stressing that collective efforts would be crucial to achieving electoral victory.
Party stakeholders at the event commended his courage and readiness to serve, expressing optimism that his candidacy would strengthen the party’s chances in the forthcoming gubernatorial contest.
