
The Oyo State Supervisors’ Forum has declared its full support for Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi following his emergence as the preferred successor to Governor Seyi Makinde, describing the development as a welcome step toward sustaining the current administration’s achievements in the state.
In a statement issued after a meeting of its leadership, led by Alarape Kabeer Imam, coordinator, Azeez Waheed Emiloju, Secretary the supervisors expressed satisfaction with Hon. Adekanmbi’s emergence, noting that his leadership capacity, political experience, and commitment to public service make him a worthy choice to continue the developmental agenda championed by Governor Makinde.
The Forum stated that Hon. Adekanbi has consistently distinguished himself through loyalty, competence, and dedication to grassroots development, adding that his emergence has generated renewed hope among party loyalists and government stakeholders across Oyo State.


According to the group, supporting Adekanmbi is not only a political decision but also a commitment to continuity, stability, and sustained progress in Oyo State.

“We are pleased with the emergence of Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi as the successor to Governor Seyi Makinde. We believe he possesses the leadership qualities, administrative experience, and vision needed to consolidate on the remarkable achievements of this administration,” the statement read.


The Forum also praised Governor Seyi Makinde for his leadership style, which it said has transformed Oyo State through infrastructural development, improved education, healthcare reforms, economic growth initiatives, and youth empowerment programmes.
Members of the Forum noted that Governor Makinde’s administration has set a governance standard that deserves continuity, stressing that Hon. Adekanmbi represents a credible path toward preserving and expanding the governor’s legacy.
The group further called on party members, political stakeholders, and residents of Oyo State to rally behind Adekanmbi in the interest of unity, development, and the continued progress of the state.
