Permit me to say that in the world of politics and leadership, we still have few individuals whose style is deeply rooted in selflessness. In the ever-demanding world of politics, it is rare to find a leader whose heartbeat is truly in sync with the aspirations of his people.

But, based on what has been experienced over time in the Ibadan politics, among other politicians in Oyo State, Rep. Abass Adigun Agboworin, Federal Representative for Ibadan North East/Ibadan South East Federal Constituency, has proven to be one politician and a man whose greatest wish is for everyone around him to succeed and live a better life.

From his early days in public service, he has consistently demonstrated that leadership is not about personal gain, but about lifting others up. His vision for society is one where opportunities are not reserved for a privileged few, but made accessible to all, regardless of social background.

In his first term at the National Assembly, Agboworin served as Vice-Chairman of the House Committee on Air Force, where he used his position to secure meaningful opportunities for many constituents, job placements, training slots, and empowerment initiatives. His influence extended beyond his office, touching lives and changing destinies.

Now in his second term, he serves as Chairman of the House Committee on Drugs and Narcotics, a position that speaks to his commitment to fighting the scourge of drug abuse and creating a healthier future for Nigerian youth. His approach combines lawmaking with community sensitization, proving that he is not only a legislator but also a moral guide.

Hon. Agboworin is popularly called “Mr. Project” a nickname well-earned from his visible achievements. From roads to schools, from health facilities to empowerment programs, his developmental footprints are found in every ward of his constituency. He doesn’t just make promises; he delivers tangible results.

What stands out most about Agboworin is his personal touch. He is a leader who believes that the success of the people around him is his own success. He invests time, resources, and energy into ensuring that those within his circle — and even those beyond have access to opportunities for a better life. His open-door policy has made him approachable to both young and old, the rich and the poor.

As a two-term Federal Representative, Hon. Abass Adigun Agboworin has set a standard for compassionate and effective leadership. He has proven that politics can indeed be a force for good, and that the measure of a leader is not in the title he holds, but in the lives he touches.

Agboworin is not just representing Ibadan North East/Ibadan South East he is building dreams, inspiring hope, and shaping a future where success is a shared reality.
