Another residential building has been engulfed by fire in Eruwa, Oyo State.

Heritage Echo News gathered that the incident occurred this morning, Monday 19th May 2025, at Ayeyewa Compound, Towobowo Anko, Eruwa, destroying properties worth millions of naira.

No casualty was recorded, but properties worth millions were destroyed by fire.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Fire Services Agency Reform/Chairman, Hon. Moroof Adebayo Akinwande confirmed the incident.



Hon. Akinwande, in a statement released and made available to Heritage Echo News on Monday, said, “The Agency received the distressed call at exactly 03:08hrs through the running caller and. Mr Peter to house on fire at the above address.
“The fire personnel led by ACFS Adegoke swiftly deployed to the scene of the fire incident and on getting there, it was a private residential building of six rooms and a Boyz – Quarters met well alight.


“We quickly swung into action and restricted the fire from spreading to nearby buildings and properties. To our dismay, the fire had been burning for more than an hour before the Fire Service was called.
However, the SA on Fire Services Agency Reform/Chairman advised residents of the Oyo State that they should promptly report any fire incident to the fire service for quick response.
He also stressed that fire prevention is better and cheaper than control.
