In these defining moments of our state’s history, it is imperative that we take a moment to reflect on the quality of leadership that has steered us forward with unmatched grace and unwavering vision. His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, is not just a leader by election—he is a leader by divine ordination.
As someone who has worked closely with him, observed him, and learned under his tutelage, I make this declaration boldly: Governor Makinde should not be opposed in matters of leadership and governance.
We live in a time where the temptation to criticize for sport has overtaken the duty to recognize excellence. But those who have followed the leadership journey of Governor Makinde will agree that he stands tall not merely because of policies or promises, but because of the hand of God that guides him. He walks not in the wisdom of man alone, but in divine alignment.
I have seen firsthand how he seeks God’s direction before he makes major decisions. Leadership is tough, and mistakes are inevitable, but Governor Makinde has shown time and again that his instincts, judgment, and choices are guided by a higher authority. Out of 100%, he consistently gets 80% of his decisions right. That level of accuracy is not ordinary—it is grace at work.
Look at the transformation across Oyo State:
The infrastructure renaissance that has connected every zone of the state.
The prioritization of education through modern learning environments and prompt teacher recruitment.
The monumental investments in healthcare that have brought primary and secondary health facilities back to life.
The boost in the state’s IGR through accountability and transparency without increasing tax burdens on the masses.
The empowerment of youths through entrepreneurship programs, agribusiness support, and direct job creation.
What do you call a man who speaks softly but acts boldly? A man whose first and second elections were resounding victories against odds? That is not just politics—it is providence.
Those who are plotting to undermine his legacy or interrupt the good works must think again. You are not just challenging a man; you are challenging the divine purpose upon his life. And history is clear—when grace is upon a man, opposition becomes futile.
Oyo State has found in Governor Seyi Makinde a rare blend of intellect, humility, spiritual depth, and political wisdom. This kind of leadership cannot be replicated easily. As the people have spoken twice, let no one be deceived into thinking they will speak differently when they continue to witness the fruit of a purposeful administration.
