Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, the Okanlomo Oodua and Gbonka Olubadan of Ibadanland, has expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, and other dignitaries, royal fathers and well wishers who celebrated his 58th birthday.
‎
‎Sanusi, in an appreciation message on Sunday, thanked the President for his birthday greetings and recognition, while also appreciating Honourable Zacch Adedeji for his goodwill and support.
‎
‎He expressed gratitude to Oba Ladoja, members of the Olubadan in Council, the Ooni of Ife, the Alaafin of Oyo, the Soun of Ogbomosoland, the Aseyin of Iseyinland and other traditional rulers, including traditional leaders from the Republic of Benin.
‎
‎The businessman also acknowledged Senator Abdulaziz Yari, Senator Yunus Akintunde, Honourable Remi Oseni, Mama Hannah Ogunesan, Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, the President Tinubu Campaign Organisation, APC candidates and other political stakeholders who attended the celebration at Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, Akanran, Ibadan, on Saturday, October 17.
‎
‎He commended the Asiwaju/JDS Movement, the President Tinubu 2027 Campaign Organisation and members of the JDS Movement across the 33 local government areas of Oyo State for their support and mobilisation efforts.
‎
‎Sanusi also appreciated religious leaders and organisations, including the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Christian leaders and Isese traditional worshippers, alongside market women, traders, artisans, farmers, professional associations, people living with disabilities, members of the Ibadan sickle cell community, students, teachers, journalists, labour leaders and youth organisations.
‎
‎He further recognised community security groups, including local hunters, Ibadan Guards, Iru Ekun groups and Agbekoya members, as well as Chief Sunday Igboho, OPC groups associated with Iba Gani Adams and the late Dr Frederick Fasehun, security agencies and other community stakeholders.
‎
‎The celebrant also thanked High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, and the management and staff of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort for their contributions to the event.
‎
‎Reflecting on the large turnout, Sanusi said he was deeply moved by the sacrifices of guests who travelled from different parts of the country to celebrate with him, noting that the gathering demonstrated the importance of unity, religious harmony and shared humanity.
‎
‎He said, “Seeing our royal fathers, religious leaders, political figures, market women, artisans, farmers, traditional leaders, students, workers, young people and elderly citizens sharing one environment was a powerful reminder of what unity and friendship can achieve.”
‎
‎Sanusi added that the affection shown by guests meant more to him than the size of the gathering, stressing that every greeting, prayer and sacrifice made the celebration memorable.
‎
‎He stated, “A man may build houses, establish businesses and acquire titles, but the greatest monument he can build is a place of love in the hearts of other human beings.”
‎
‎He prayed for President Tinubu and other leaders, the royal fathers, and the continued peace, security and prosperity of Ibadanland, Oyo State and Nigeria, adding that he would remain grateful for the love and goodwill shown to him.
