The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has felicitated teachers across Ibadan North, Oyo State, and Nigeria on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, describing them as indispensable builders of the nation and shapers of future generations.

In a goodwill message commemorating the annual celebration, Olufade commended teachers for their dedication, sacrifices, and unwavering commitment to educating, mentoring, and nurturing young Nigerians.

He noted that the impact of teachers extends beyond the classroom, stressing that through their daily efforts in tutoring, instilling discipline, imparting knowledge, and shaping character, teachers play a critical role in preparing children and youths to become responsible citizens and future leaders.

According to him, “Teachers are the architects of the future. Every lesson taught, every child guided, and every life positively influenced represents an investment in the future of our communities and our nation.”

The council chairman acknowledged the patience, resilience, and commitment demonstrated by teachers despite the numerous challenges confronting the education sector.

He further emphasized that no society can achieve sustainable development without a strong and well-supported teaching workforce, noting that the quality of education received by children today will significantly determine the strength, prosperity, and development of Nigeria tomorrow.

Olufade therefore called for greater recognition and appreciation of teachers, while urging them to remain steadfast in their noble profession and continue to serve as positive role models to the younger generation.

He extended his heartfelt appreciation to all teachers in Ibadan North Local Government, Oyo State, and across Nigeria, assuring them that their contributions to human capital development and nation-building remain invaluable.

“On behalf of the good people of Ibadan North Local Government, I salute our teachers for their selfless service and dedication. Your efforts may not always receive immediate recognition, but the lives you shape today will become the leaders, professionals, innovators, and nation-builders of tomorrow,” he said.

The chairman wished teachers a memorable celebration and prayed for continued strength, wisdom, fulfilment, and greater rewards for their service to humanity and the nation.
