The Member representing Ibadan North Constituency II in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Adebayo Babajide Gabriel, has felicitated with Muslims in Ibadan North Constituency II, Oyo State and Nigeria at large on the occasion of the celebration of Maulud Nabiy, commemorating the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Hon. Adebayo Babajide Gabriel, who is also the Oyo State House of Assembly candidate for Ibadan North Constituency II, described the occasion as a significant period for Muslims to reflect on the exemplary life, teachings and virtues of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), particularly his commitment to peace, compassion, justice, humility and love for humanity.
In a goodwill message, he urged Muslims to use the celebration as an opportunity to strengthen their faith, promote peaceful coexistence and continue to demonstrate the noble values exemplified by the Holy Prophet.
He noted that the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) remain relevant to the development of society, stressing the need for unity, mutual respect, tolerance and genuine concern for one another.
According to him, “Maulud Nabiy is not only a celebration of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), but also a reminder of the virtues he represented and taught humanity.
We must continue to emulate his exemplary character by promoting peace, kindness, justice, compassion and unity in our communities.”
The lawmaker prayed for Allah’s continued guidance, protection and blessings upon Muslims and all residents of Ibadan North Constituency II, Oyo State and Nigeria.
He also prayed for lasting peace, economic prosperity, good health and sustainable development across Ibadan North Constituency II and Oyo State, expressing optimism that the people would continue to witness greater progress and improved living conditions.
Hon. Adebayo Babajide Gabriel further called on citizens to remain united and support efforts aimed at building a peaceful, prosperous and inclusive society where every individual has the opportunity to thrive.
He concluded by wishing Muslims across the constituency, Oyo State and Nigeria a joyful and spiritually rewarding Maulud Nabiy celebration, praying that the blessings and lessons of the occasion would continue to guide the people and bring peace and prosperity to their homes and communities.
