The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) chairmanship candidate for Oriire Local Government, Hon. Tijani Afeez Adigun Omoleader, has congratulated notable Ogbomoso and Oriire-born indigenes, particularly Hon. Lydia Bankole, Hon. Ezekiel Oyedepo, Hon. Adekunle Oladapo Bankole, and Engr Abu Salam, Laurel on their recent appointments by the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde.
Omoleader, in a congratulatory message made available on Saturday, expressed appreciation to Governor Makinde for recognising individuals from Ogbomoso and providing them with opportunities to contribute to the administration and development of Oyo State.
The governor recently approved the appointment of Hon. Lydia Bankole and Hon. Ezekiel Oyedepo as members of the Oyo State Advisory Council, while Hon. Adekunle Oladapo Bankole was appointed Chairman of the Oyo State Hospitals Management Board.
Hon. Abiodun Laurel as the Chairman, Oyo State Project Monitoring and Engr Abu Salam from Ogbomoso North.
The appointments took effect from Friday, September 18, 2026.
Omoleader described the appointments as a demonstration of confidence in the competence, experience and capacity of the appointees to contribute meaningfully to governance and public service.
According to him, the appointments have further provided an avenue for the beneficiaries to bring their knowledge, experience and understanding of the people to bear in their respective responsibilities.

He also congratulated the appointees individually, wishing them wisdom, strength and sound judgment as they assume their new responsibilities.
