The member representing Ibadan North-East/Ibadan South-East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. Abass Adigun (Agboworin), has congratulated the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and his wife, Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde, on their conferment with the prestigious chieftaincy titles of Aare and Yeye Aare Asoludero of Ibarapaland.

The conferment was performed by the Eleruwa of Eruwa, Oba Samuel Adegbola, Ajobo Olurin 1 at the commissioning of the new palace Eleruwa on Saturday.

Agboworin, in a statement by his Media Group, described the conferment as a well-deserved recognition of the governor and his wife for their contributions to the development, peace and progress of Ibarapaland zone of Oyo State.

The lawmaker said the traditional honour was a testament to the confidence and respect the people of Ibarapaland have for the Makindes.

He commended Governor Makinde for his commitment to good governance, infrastructural development, economic growth and the welfare of the people of Oyo State, noting that his administration’s achievements have continued to attract recognition across the state and beyond.

Similarly, Agboworin praised Mrs. Makinde for her support for her husband and her various humanitarian and social initiatives, describing her as a worthy partner in the governor’s service to the people.

He expressed confidence that the new traditional titles would further strengthen the bond between the Makindes and the people of Ibarapaland.

He prayed for continued wisdom, good health and divine guidance for Governor Makinde and his wife as they continue to contribute to the development of Oyo State.
