The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) candidate for Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji, popularly known as KSA, has continued his grassroots engagement across communities in Ido Local Government Area of Oyo State.

KSA, alongside representatives of the campaign organisation of the APM candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District, Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide Olajide, popularly known as Odidiomo, visited several communities as part of ongoing efforts to engage directly with residents, community leaders and other grassroots stakeholders ahead of the forthcoming elections.

The communities visited include Ekerin, Lakanpo, Aba-Oko, Alara, Apase, Oremeta and Ologuneru.

During the tour, KSA expressed appreciation to residents for their warm reception and continued support, assuring them of his commitment to grassroots development and responsive representation.

He appealed to the people to support APM candidates in the forthcoming elections, including Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide Odidiomo for the Oyo South Senatorial District, Governor Seyi Makinde for President, Hon. Abimbola Adekanmbi for Governor, and Hon. Rafiu Omotosho for the State House of Assembly.

Community leaders and residents, in their separate remarks, highlighted some of the pressing challenges confronting their communities. Prominent among the issues raised were the need for improved road infrastructure, better educational facilities and accessible healthcare services.

Responding to the concerns, KSA assured the residents that the issues raised during the engagements would remain central to his development agenda.

As part of his immediate support to the communities, he announced a donation of ₦3 million towards community development projects, particularly road improvement initiatives and mosque construction.

The gesture was received with appreciation by residents and community stakeholders, who commended the candidate for taking time to engage directly with the people and listen to their concerns.

Among the traditional and community leaders present during the engagements were Chief Sulaiman Ajala, the Baale of Ologuneru; Chief Garuba Amodu, the Seriki Hausa of Ido Local Government; Alhaji Yaro Tairu, Mogaji Ngeri of Ido; and the Chief Imam of Ekerin Central Mosque, Imam Abeeb Morakinyo.

Representatives of the Odidiomo campaign organisation also joined the tour, further demonstrating the collaboration and mobilisation efforts among APM candidates and their campaign structures across the area.

The grassroots tour provided an opportunity for political leaders and campaign representatives to interact directly with the people, identify community needs and discuss issues surrounding development and effective representation.

KSA reiterated that meaningful representation must be built on constant engagement with constituents and a clear understanding of the challenges confronting communities.

The campaign tour, according to stakeholders, further underscored the APM’s emphasis on grassroots mobilisation, community participation and people-centred representation as political activities continue to gather momentum.

Residents of the communities visited expressed appreciation for the engagement and called for sustained attention to their developmental needs.

The visit represents another phase of KSA’s ongoing grassroots consultations and community engagements across the Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency.
