The lawmaker representing Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. Abass Adigun Agboworin, has congratulated Mogaji Kabiru Ademola Makinde of Makinde Ope-Oya Compound, Atipe, Oje, on his nomination for elevation into the Olubadan Chieftaincy Line by His Imperial Majesty, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa I.

Rep. Agboworin, in a statement signed by his Media Group, also extended his congratulations to Mogaji Charles Durosaro and Mogaji Wole Arisekola, who were similarly nominated for elevation into the revered traditional succession line.

The nominations were made by the Olubadan in consultation with the Olubadan-in-Council following vacancies that arose in some positions within the traditional lines of succession as a result of the passing of a High Chief and other Chiefs.

He described the development as a significant milestone for Mogaji Kabiru Ademola Makinde, his family and the Makinde Ope-Oya Compound, noting that the elevation reflects the confidence reposed in him by the traditional institution.

The lawmaker urged him to approach the new responsibility with humility, wisdom, good character and an unwavering commitment to the welfare of his people.

He also congratulated Mogaji Charles Durosaro and Mogaji Wole Arisekola, wishing them wisdom, strength and good health as they assume their new responsibilities within the Olubadan Chieftaincy Line.

He prayed for divine guidance, wisdom and good health for the newly nominated chiefs and expressed optimism that their elevation would further strengthen the traditional institution and contribute to the continued development and unity of Ibadanland.
