The Oyo State Supervisors’ Forum has congratulated Governor Seyi Makinde on the successful delivery of the state’s security surveillance aircraft, describing the development as a significant milestone in the administration’s efforts to strengthen the security architecture of the state.

The commendation was contained in a statement jointly signed by the Coordinator of the forum, Alarape Kabeer Imam, and its Secretary, Azeez Waheed Emiloju.
According to the forum, the arrival of the aircraft demonstrates Governor Makinde’s commitment to fulfilling his promises and underscores his administration’s determination to safeguard lives and property across Oyo State.

The forum noted that the delivery of the aircraft fulfilled the governor’s assurance that they would arrive before the end of July, describing the feat as another testament to his administration’s credibility and commitment to delivering on key developmental initiatives.

It stated that the surveillance aircraft would significantly enhance the operational capacity of security agencies through improved intelligence gathering, aerial surveillance and rapid response to security threats across the state.

The forum recalled that the Oyo State Government announced the acquisition of two surveillance aircraft on July 8, 2025, as part of a broader strategy to bolster the capacity of security agencies in addressing emerging security challenges.
It also noted that Governor Makinde had, on July 18, 2026, confirmed that the aircraft had arrived in Nigeria and were undergoing reassembly at the Nigerian Air Force hangar in Lagos ahead of their deployment for security operations in the state.
While congratulating the governor on the successful delivery of the aircraft, the forum expressed confidence that the investment would further strengthen the state’s security framework, enhance public safety and support ongoing efforts to protect residents and critical infrastructure.
The Supervisors’ Forum reaffirmed its support for the Makinde administration and urged residents to continue cooperating with security agencies by providing timely and credible information to sustain peace and security across Oyo State.
