
The Chairman of the Oyo State Fire Service Agency, Hon. Moroof Adebayo Akinwande, has described the emergence of Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi and Engr. Muftau Open Salawu as the governorship and deputy governorship candidates of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) for the 2027 election as a strategic and well-deserved choice capable of sustaining the developmental strides of Governor Seyi Makinde under the envisioned Omituntun 3.0 agenda.
Akinwande made the assertion in a statement, commending Governor Seyi Makinde for his leadership style and commitment to ensuring continuity in governance through the emergence of credible and experienced individuals with proven records of public service.
According to him, the Adekanmbi-Salawu ticket represents a perfect blend of competence, experience, grassroots connection, and administrative capacity needed to consolidate on the achievements recorded under the Omituntun administration.


He noted that Engr. Muftau Open Salawu’s emergence as the deputy governorship candidate reflects his years of dedication, loyalty, and invaluable contributions to the development of Oyo State, expressing confidence that the ticket would enjoy widespread acceptance across the state.

Akinwande further stated that the combination of Adekanmbi and Salawu possesses the vision and leadership qualities required to advance ongoing developmental initiatives, deepen good governance, and deliver greater dividends of democracy to the people.

While congratulating the candidates on their emergence, the Fire Service Agency Chairman urged party members, stakeholders, and residents of the state to rally support for the ticket in order to ensure the continuity of the progress and transformation agenda that has characterized Governor Makinde’s administration.
