The Okanlomo Oodua and Bada Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the occasion of Nigeria Democracy Day, while also extending warm greetings to the Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr ‘Seyi Makinde and the good people of Oyo State.

Chief Sanusi lauded the sacrifices and commitment of security agencies across the country in their relentless efforts to safeguard lives and property, noting that their dedication remains crucial to the sustenance of democracy and national development.

Expressing deep concern over the recent abduction of school children and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, the renowned philanthropist and business mogul called on the perpetrators to immediately release the victims unharmed.

He urged security operatives to intensify ongoing rescue efforts and ensure the safe return of all those in captivity, stressing that children and innocent citizens should never be subjected to such traumatic experiences.

Chief Sanusi also sympathized with families who have lost loved ones to acts of banditry and other forms of criminality across the country, praying that Almighty God grants them the fortitude to bear their irreparable losses.

“As we commemorate Democracy Day, let us renew our collective commitment to peace, security, and the protection of human lives. A secure society is the foundation upon which meaningful development can thrive,” he stated.

Chief Sanusi reaffirmed his support for all lawful efforts aimed at restoring peace and security in Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
