Residents of Jericho Hill GRA and adjoining communities in Ibadan have lauded Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for the successful reconstruction of the FRIN–Aleshinloye Road, describing the project as a major infrastructural intervention that has significantly improved accessibility and enhanced the aesthetic appeal of the area.
The commendation was contained in a letter of appreciation jointly issued by the Jericho Hill GRA Residents’ Association and other sister estates, and signed by its Chairman, Ven. Adewale Sanda.

The residents noted that the reconstructed road serves as a critical access route to several communities, including Jericho, Aleshinloye, Idi-Ishin, Forest Hill Estate, and other adjoining areas, adding that the project has brought relief to residents and road users.

According to the association, the state government’s decision to undertake the reconstruction reflects its commitment to improving infrastructure and creating a more conducive environment for residents.

“We wish to commend the efforts of Your Excellency’s administration in taking up the reconstruction of our major access road. The project has greatly improved the aesthetics of the area and enhanced mobility for residents and visitors alike,” the letter stated.

The association also applauded the contractor handling the project, Quickborn Nigeria Limited, for what it described as a high level of professionalism throughout the execution of the work.
The residents noted that despite the challenges associated with reconstructing a major road serving several communities, the contractor maintained open communication with stakeholders and ensured that the project was completed with minimal inconvenience to residents.

“The contractor and its team were highly professional in the discharge of their duties. They remained accessible, listened to our concerns, and carried out the work efficiently despite the initial challenges posed by the importance of the road as a major access corridor,” the association added.

While expressing gratitude to Governor Makinde for the intervention, the residents pledged their continued support and cooperation with the state government in initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of citizens and advancing development across Oyo State.
The association further wished the governor success in his administration and reaffirmed its commitment to partnering with the government on developmental projects that would enhance the quality of life of residents.

The FRIN–Aleshinloye Road project is among several road infrastructure initiatives undertaken by the Makinde administration to improve connectivity, boost economic activities, and promote sustainable urban development across Oyo State.
