The Allied People’s Movement, APM, candidate for Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, Engr. Kolawole Adedeji Sheu, popularly known as KSA, has reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive governance and grassroots mobilization following a consultative meeting with persons living with disabilities in Ido Local Government Area of Oyo State.

The engagement convened members of the disability community, party stakeholders, and supporters. The forum provided a platform to discuss pressing challenges affecting persons with disabilities and to explore practical solutions for improving their welfare and participation in public life.

Speaking on behalf of the speech-impaired community, Mr. Saliu Luqman highlighted key concerns, with special emphasis on widows and unemployed individuals within the disability bloc. He called for targeted empowerment programmes, stronger support structures for vulnerable groups, and sustained government intervention to improve living conditions. Mr. Luqman also pledged the continued support of the disability community for the APM and expressed confidence in the party’s chances in the 2027 general elections.

Responding, Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji emphasized that no segment of society should be marginalized in the political process. He noted that youths, women, the elderly, and persons with disabilities all play critical roles in shaping the future of Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency.

“This meeting is part of our deliberate effort to ensure that the voices of special interest groups are reflected in the party’s plans and programmes before the next general elections,” Engr. Sheu stated. “Inclusive governance is not a slogan for us. It is a principle. When every group is carried along, policy becomes people-centered and development becomes sustainable.”

The APM candidate further urged party members and supporters to remain united, focused, and proactive in grassroots mobilization. He cautioned against underestimating political opposition and stressed the importance of early preparation for 2027. Engr. Sheu assured attendees that his political aspirations would be guided by honesty and realistic commitments.

“Every group has its place in society and in politics. Whatever we cannot do, we will not promise,” he said. “The people of Ido/Ibarapa East deserve representation built on integrity, competence, and service.”

The event concluded with goodwill messages from representatives of the disability community and party faithful. Participants commended the initiative and expressed confidence in Engr. Sheu’s leadership. They offered prayers for the success of the APM and pledged sustained support for the party’s activities across the constituency.
