Renowned philanthropist and Chief Executive Officer of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful across Nigeria and beyond as they celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festival, urging Nigerians to embrace the virtues of sacrifice, love, tolerance and national unity as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.

In his Eid message released on Wednesday in Ibadan, the respected businessman and community leader congratulated Muslims for witnessing another Eid celebration, describing the season as a sacred period for sober reflection, compassion and renewed commitment to peaceful coexistence.

The Okanlomo Oodua and Bada Olubadan of Ibadanland stated that Eid-el-Kabir remained one of the most significant celebrations in Islam because it teaches obedience to God, selflessness and unwavering faith even in difficult moments.

According to him, “Eid-el-Kabir is a solemn reminder of the virtues of sacrifice, obedience, perseverance and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah. It is a period that calls for deep reflection on our responsibilities to humanity, our communities and our nation.”

He urged Nigerians, irrespective of religious or ethnic differences, to continue promoting peace and harmony in the interest of national development.

“Nigeria needs unity now more than ever before. We must continue to support one another, pray for our leaders and contribute positively to the growth and stability of our dear country. As citizens, we all have collective responsibilities toward building a peaceful, prosperous and secure Nigeria,” he said.

The Ilaji Farms and Hotels boss also called on political leaders and stakeholders to prioritise the welfare of the people through policies capable of addressing economic hardship, unemployment and insecurity confronting many Nigerians.

“Our leaders must remain committed to policies that will uplift the people, create opportunities for the youth and strengthen confidence in the future of our nation. The resilience of Nigerians is admirable, and with sincerity of purpose, the country will overcome its present challenges,” Chief Sanusi added.

Speaking on the importance of compassion during the festive period, the philanthropist encouraged wealthy individuals and organisations to extend love and support to the less privileged, noting that kindness and generosity remain central teachings of Islam.

“As we celebrate, let us remember the vulnerable, the widows, the elderly and those facing difficult times. True celebration lies not only in merriment but also in sharing with others and putting smiles on the faces of the needy,” he said.

Chief Sanusi further prayed for divine peace, progress and economic recovery for Nigeria, while wishing Muslim faithful a joyous and hitch-free Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

“I wish all Muslim Ummah a peaceful, joyful and spiritually rewarding Eid-el-Kabir celebration. May Almighty Allah accept our prayers and sacrifices, bless our homes with happiness and continue to guide Nigeria toward greater peace, unity and prosperity,” he concluded.
