A staged protest allegedly organized by faceless individuals against the aspiration of Honourable Yusuf Oladeni Adebisi to contest under the platform of the All Progressives Movement has been described by political stakeholders and loyal party members as a desperate and sponsored attempt to tarnish the rising political profile of the lawmaker.
Honourable Yusuf Adebisi, who is currently serving in the Oyo State House of Assembly, dismissed the protest as fake, politically motivated, and orchestrated by enemies of progress who are uncomfortable with his growing acceptance among the people of Ibadan Southwest Constituency I.
According to him, credible findings revealed that those parading themselves as protesters are neither registered members of APM nor known political stakeholders within the constituency, adding that the entire drama was carefully sponsored to create unnecessary tension and mislead the public.
The lawmaker maintained that no amount of blackmail or propaganda can erase his seven years of impactful representation, quality legislative contributions, and grassroots development initiatives that have continued to earn him widespread commendation across the constituency and beyond.
“Those behind this sponsored protest are not members of APM and they do not represent the wishes of the people. It is merely an attempt to smear my image and distract from the good work we have consistently delivered over the years,” he stated.
Supporters of the Deputy Chief Whip noted that Honourable Adebisi has remained one of the most active lawmakers in the Assembly, sponsoring productive motions and supporting bills aimed at improving education, youth empowerment, community development, and infrastructural growth within Oyo State.
