Former Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency aspirant, Hon. Tosin Alabi, has declared total support for the governorship ambition of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) candidate in Oyo State, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Hon. Tosin Alabi made this known on Saturday evening during a strategic political meeting held at the Osuntokun Avenue office of Hon. Busari Olayemi, Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Intra-Party Affairs, where Hon. Adekanmbi paid a thank-you visit to appreciate stakeholders for their roles in his emergence as the APM consensus governorship candidate.
Speaking during the gathering, Hon. Tosin Alabi described Hon. Adekanmbi as a grassroots politician with the experience, humility, and leadership qualities needed to sustain the developmental strides of Governor Seyi Makinde in Oyo State.
According to him, the unity currently existing within the PDP-APM coalition remains a strong signal that the alliance is prepared to secure victory in 2027.
“Hon. Adekanmbi is someone who understands the people and their needs,” Tosin Alabi stated.
“He has remained consistent over the years, and his connection with the grassroots makes him a strong candidate for the future of Oyo State.
“With the level of unity and understanding among coalition leaders, I am confident that Oyo State will continue on the path of progress and development.”
Hon. Tosin Alabi also commended Hon. Busari Olayemi, popularly known as Kobomoje, for his leadership role in ensuring harmony among party stakeholders and strengthening the coalition structure.
The meeting featured discussions on party unity, grassroots mobilization, and strategies aimed at ensuring victory for the PDP-APM coalition in the 2027 elections.
Earlier, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi appreciated party leaders and stakeholders for supporting the consensus arrangement that produced him as the APM governorship candidate, while also reaffirming his commitment to the continuation of Governor Makinde’s developmental agenda under Omituntun 3.0.
Adekanmbi further pledged to work for the success of Governor Seyi Makinde’s presidential ambition and all coalition candidates across Oyo State.
Other political leaders present at the meeting also expressed confidence in the coalition’s strength and pledged their commitment to mobilizing support across the five zones of the state ahead of the 2027 elections.
