The Special Adviser (SAs) to Hon. Emmanuel Olufemi Aikomo, the Executive Chairman of Afijio local government, Jobele, Oyo State has commended him for his outstanding achievement in his first 100days in Office.
According to them, Hon. Aikomo has liberated Afijio in terms of dividends of democracy at no cost directly to the masses by delivering on electioneering promises
In a statement released to newsmen, the SAs praised Hon Aikomo’s leadership, vision, and dedication to the development of Afijio Local Government
“We are thrilled to witness the remarkable progress made by our chairman in just 100 days,’ they said. ‘His commitment to the welfare and well-being of our people is unparalleled.
Some of the achievements highlighted by the SAs include:
- Distribution of farm inputs, implements, and equipment to farmers.
- Convening strategic stakeholders’ security meetings with all security agencies in areas of collaboration and strategic partnership.
- Distribution of bags of Maize and garri to the vulnerable in Afijio L. Govt and its environs.
- Distribution of fertilizers, and cassava stems to agricultural practitioners
- Empowerment of artisans in some wards within Afijio local government.
- Cash Empowerment for ward Women leaders, with food items in junction with the wife of the executive chairman Mrs Kehinde Aikomo
- Rehabilitation of abandoned buildings of students’ hostel to generate internal revenue for the council.
The SAs also acknowledged Hon Aikomo’s inclusive leadership style, which has fostered a sense of unity and cooperation among stakeholders.
”We are proud to work with a chairman who values teamwork and recognizes the contributions of others,’ they added.
As Afijio Local Government continues to make strides under Hon Aikomo’s leadership, the SAs expressed their optimism for a brighter future. ‘We look forward to many more achievements in the days ahead,’ they said.
