Our attention has been drawn to a publication on the adoption of Hon Busoye Ogunlade as a consensus candidate by the Stakeholders & Leaders of Oyo Federal Constituency.

At a meeting yesterday, the Leaders and Party Chairmen of Atiba, Oyo East & Oyo West Local Governments of Oyo Federal Constituency have responded to a widespread news purportedly sponsored by Hon Busoye Ogunlade claiming that, Oyo Federal Constituency PDP Leaders have adopted him as a consensus candidate.

We wish to set the record straight that, Hon Busoye has not reached out to us as Stakeholders and Party Organ in the three Local Governments of the Constituency talk less of adopting him. Who adopted who & Where, the Leaders debunked.

The Leaders Noted that, anybody from the four Local Governments can aspire for the position of House of Representatives but there is a process and yardsticks to apply in choosing our consensus candidate not on Social Media and at the appropriate time, the Party Structure and Leaders of the four Local Governments will sit and reach out a consensus decision.

Also, Hon Busoye Ogunlade is a Son of our respected Leader in Afijio Local Government, Chief Sunday Ogunlade whom we hold in high esteem and we expect Hon Busoye to toe the right path than cheap Social media approach.

Signed:

Alhaji Olatunji Quadri
Alhaji Isiaka Adebayo
Engr Dele Adedeji
Hon Azeez Tirimisiyu.
