The Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, under the leadership of Hon. Adebowale Adebayo Falana, has extended warm felicitations to Christians across the state and beyond on the occasion of Good Friday, urging them to reflect deeply on the enduring virtues of sacrifice, love, and humility.

In a statement issued on Friday, through the Head of Media Unit to the Chairman, Opeyemi Rasheed Socrates, the Agency described Good Friday as a solemn moment in the Christian calendar that symbolizes selflessness, compassion, and the ultimate sacrifice for humanity.

The Agency emphasized the need for youths and citizens to draw inspiration from the values exemplified during the commemoration, noting that such virtues remain essential for fostering unity, peaceful coexistence, and societal progress.

While congratulating the Christian faithful on the observance, the Agency encouraged residents of Oyo State particularly young people to imbibe the spirit of tolerance, kindness, and service to humanity in their daily interactions.

It further reiterated its commitment to youth development and moral reorientation, stressing that building a responsible and value-driven generation is key to the state’s sustainable growth under the sustainable development legacy of His Excellency Engr ‘Seyi Makinde FNSE, GSSRS.

The Agency concluded by wishing all Christians a reflective Good Friday and a peaceful Easter celebration.
