The Chief Whip of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Gbenga Joseph Oyekola, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful in Atiba State Constituency on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

In a statement issued on Friday, the lawmaker congratulated Muslims for the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan, describing the period as one of deep reflection, sacrifice, and renewed spiritual commitment.

Hon. Oyekola, who represents the good people of Atiba State Constituency, emphasized that the lessons of Ramadan discipline, compassion, and generosity should be sustained beyond the fasting period for the overall benefit of society.

He called on his constituents to use the festive period as an opportunity to strengthen bonds of unity, promote peaceful coexistence, and foster mutual understanding across religious and cultural lines.

The Chief Whip further noted that peace and togetherness remain critical ingredients for sustainable development, urging residents of Atiba to continue supporting efforts aimed at building a harmonious and progressive community.

Reflecting on his journey in public service, Hon. Oyekola highlighted his experience as a former local government chairman and a two-term lawmaker, stating that these roles have deepened his commitment to grassroots development and responsive representation.

He reiterated his dedication to advancing policies and initiatives that will improve the welfare of his constituents, particularly in areas of youth empowerment, infrastructure, and social development.

The lawmaker also encouraged youths in the constituency to remain law-abiding and actively contribute to community growth, noting that their participation is vital to shaping a better future.

Hon. Oyekola assured the people of Atiba of his continuous engagement and accessibility, stressing that his office remains open to initiatives and ideas that will drive inclusive progress.

While wishing all Muslim faithful a joyful and peaceful Eid celebration, the Chief Whip prayed for continued peace, prosperity, and unity within Atiba Constituency and Oyo State at large.
