The Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor of Oyo State, Hon. Kazim Adeyinka Adeniyi Bibire, has lavished glowing praise on His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, following the remarkably successful hosting of the 2025 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Convention in Ibadan, an event many now describe as Makinde’s signature masterpiece on the national stage.
Hon. Bibire said the Governor once again demonstrated why he stands tall among Nigeria’s most visionary, most organised, and most respected political leaders.
According to him, the elegance, orderliness, and global-level coordination of the convention were a direct reflection of Governor Makinde’s exceptional leadership depth.
“What Governor Seyi Makinde delivered in Ibadan was not just a convention, it was a landmark achievement, a world-class demonstration of competence and a reaffirmation of his national political weight,” Bibire said.
He explained that under Makinde’s guidance, Ibadan became the centre of national attention, hosting thousands of delegates and top political figures with flawless precision.
He noted that the Governor’s ability to project stability, unity, and organisational excellence has once again elevated Oyo State to the forefront of national political direction.
While applauding Governor Makinde’s leadership, Hon. Bibire expressed profound joy over the emergence of Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja as the National Secretary of the PDP, describing him as “our very own who continues to lift Oyo State higher at every opportunity.”
“Ambassador Arapaja has always been a pride to Oyo State.
His dedication, loyalty, and wealth of experience have consistently distinguished him across every assignment,” Bibire stated.
He added that Arapaja’s victory at the convention was not only well-deserved but a testament to his long-standing commitment to the values and progress of the PDP.
Bibire emphasized his full confidence in Arapaja’s administrative experience, diplomatic exposure, and proven leadership qualities.
“I am confident that Ambassador Arapaja will bring unmatched discipline, solid experience, and renewed vigour to the office of National Secretary.
His emergence is a victory for Oyo State, a victory for the South-West, and a victory for the PDP,” he said.
Hon. Bibire noted that the success of the convention has strengthened Oyo State’s reputation as the reliable backbone of progressive politics in Nigeria.
He added that the peaceful, colourful, and spectacular outcome of the convention was another testament to Makinde’s strategic brilliance.
“Governor Makinde has once again proven that when leadership is visionary and people-driven, excellence becomes natural.
Ibadan has become the preferred centre of political activities because of his extraordinary capacity,” he added.
While centering his remarks on Makinde and Arapaja, Hon. Bibire also extended a warm congratulatory message to the new National Chairman, Dr. Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, SAN, wishing him a successful tenure as he leads the party into a new chapter.
