The momentum behind Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem (AKK), the 2027 Oyo State APC Gubernatorial Aspirant, continues to grow following the resounding success of his Town Hall Meeting, Book Launch, and Fundraising Event held in Doonside, Sydney, Australia.

Speaking during a post-event interview with journalists, Dr. Kareem, popularly known as AKK, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to members of the Nigerian Association of New South Wales, Odua Group of New South Wales, Newcastle Muslim Brothers, community leaders and distinguished personalities who graced the occasion. The event, marked by cultural excellence, insightful discussions, and inspiring addresses, attracted notable Yoruba leaders and professionals from across New South Wales, Australia.

AKK’s newly launched book, Our Realistic Tomorrow, which outlines his vision for sustainable development and people-centered governance, received high praise for its intellectual depth and strategic roadmap toward transforming Oyo State.

During the interview, Dr. Kareem announced that copies of the book will be formally presented to revered traditional rulers — including the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Alaafin of Oyo, Soun of Ogbomoso, and other eminent royal fathers — by December 2025. This royal presentation will precede the Oyo State Edition of the AKK Town Hall Meeting and Book Launch, scheduled for January 2026 in Ibadan.

“Our mission is not just about politics — it’s about purpose, vision, and unity,” AKK said. “Our royal fathers will be among the first to receive my book because their blessings and guidance are central to the development of Oyo State and the realization of our collective dream.”

He further revealed that plans are already underway to extend the successful Sydney engagement model to other regions, including Western Australia, the United States, and Canada, before June 2026. These upcoming events aim to engage the Oyo and Nigerian diaspora communities who play a significant role in shaping the state’s socio-economic future.

The Doonside event, which blended cultural pride with intellectual engagement, also served as a platform for mobilizing support toward the Oyo 2027 Project, with attendees pledging their commitment and contributions to the vision.

Dr. Kareem, known for his humility, discipline, and visionary leadership, concluded by reaffirming that “Aseyori ni tiwa” — meaning Success is Ours — remains the guiding spirit of his campaign for a better, united, and prosperous Oyo State.
