The House of Representatives member representing Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency, Rep. Abass Adigun (Agboworin), has commended teachers worldwide, describing them as the architects of our society.

He emphasized that teachers are pivotal in shaping the future of individuals and societies, and their contributions are invaluable.

According to Agboworin, in a press statement issued by his Media Group and made available to journalists, teachers are the backbone of any society, and their role in shaping the minds of future generations cannot be overstated.

“They are the architects of our society, and their contributions to the development of our nation are immeasurable,” the statement said.

Agboworin’s commitment to education is evident in his various initiatives, including the employment of teachers, provision of scholarships, distribution of educational materials, renovation of classrooms and building of classrooms in his constituency.

Another attestation to his love for education is the employment of teachers to his free tutorial centers to train SS2 and SS3 students and afterwards provide scholarships to best performing among the students.

The World Teachers’ Day theme for 2025, “The Teachers We Need for the Education We Want,” underscores the importance of valuing, training, and empowering teachers to meet modern society’s demands.
