As Nigeria celebrates its 65th Independence Day, the Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, Hon. Adebowale Adebayo Falana, has called on the youth of Oyo State to renew their hope and strengthen their resolve to contribute to the building of a greater, united, and more prosperous Nigeria.

In a statement released and made available to newsmen by the Head of Media Unit to the Chairman, Opeyemi Rasheed Socrates, Adebowale Falana emphasized the pivotal role of young people in shaping the nation’s future.
He urged the youth not to be discouraged by present socio-economic challenges but to channel their energy into innovation, civic responsibility, and nation-building.

Adebowale further calls on Oyo State Youth to appreciate the Not-Too-Young-To-Run Law, where young individuals were given positions in Pacesetter State by His Excellency Engr ‘Seyi Makinde, for them to exhibit leadership potentials and contribute positively to his sustainable development legacy.

“The 65th Independence Anniversary is not just a celebration of our past—it is a call to action, our youth must embrace patriotism, resilience, and leadership. We cannot afford to give up on Nigeria. The future belongs to you, and it starts with the choices you make today.”
Hon. Falana, who has been at the forefront of youth empowerment initiatives in Oyo State, through His Excellency Engr ‘Seyi Makinde, emphasized the importance of education, skill acquisition, entrepreneurship, and political participation as key tools for achieving meaningful change.
He reiterated the commitment of the Oyo State government to policies that uplift young people and create enabling environments for them to thrive.

He also acknowledged the efforts of Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration in prioritizing youth development, citing ongoing initiatives in vocational training, digital inclusion, and youth entrepreneurship as steps in the right direction.
As Nigeria marks 65 years of independence, Falana’s message echoed a broader national call for unity, hope, and action, especially among the younger generation that represents the future of the country.
“This is our home. Let us build it with courage, wisdom, and an unshakable belief in its promise,” he concluded.
